Project Overview

VDG App is an Android mobile application designed to remotely operate and monitor a UVC sanitation device. Developed using the Flutter framework and the Dart programming language, it leverages the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol for device communication. During development, close collaboration was required with the hardware engineers designing the sanitizer’s communication board, as well as with the VDGLAB S.r.l. team to design and refine the graphical user interface.

Key Features

  • Device Control: Allows users to turn the UVC sanitizer on and off, configure timers, and monitor operating status in real time.
  • BLE Pairing: Enables quick and seamless pairing between the smartphone and the UVC device, ensuring a secure and stable connection.
  • User Interface: Designed for intuitive navigation, providing clear visual feedback and real-time status indicators.

Role in the Project

The project was carried out in a team of two developers. We both contributed to developing the user interface as well as implementing the communication logic with the UVC sanitation hardware.
